The Young 57 Earthling was Greg Youngs first catamaran design and was built as a one off project, the final result reflects this in that this catamaran is very unique and has many features generally not possible on a production design.

The design brief was to produce a genuine very high performance Catamaran that would be very fast on the race track and provide exhilarating sailing, yet be very safe, easily handled by two people in any situation and not only be comfortable for 8 guests, but provide luxurious amenities and facilities. October 13th and 14th marked the seventh running of the Goffstown, New Hampshire Great Pumpkin Weigh-off and Regatta.

These enormous floating gourds, which can range anywhere from 600 to 1300 lbs, are an amazing sight to see. Add the colorful outfitting and classic costumes of the captains of these PVCs (that's Personal Vegetable Craft), and the show really gets interesting.
